Remove the air filter from the air-intake grille.2. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove light dust. If there is stickydust on the filter, wash the filter in lukewarm, soapy water,rinse it in clean water, and dry it.4-Way Cassette Type (U2):1. Use a screwdriver to remove the bolt screw on each sidefor the two latches. (Be sure to reattach the two bolt screwsafter cleaning.)2. Slide the latches of the air-intake grille in the direction of theinside to open the grille.3. The air-intake grille opens downward.CAUTION● When cleaning the air filter, never remove thesafety chain. If it is necessary to remove it forservicing and maintenance inside, be sure toreinstall the safety chain securely (hook on thegrille side) after the work.● When the filter has been removed, rotating parts(such as the fan), electrically charged areas, etc.will be exposed in the unit’s opening. Bear in mindthe dangers that these parts and areas pose, andproceed with the work carefully.4. Push the side of the air filter marked with the indicationarrow and pull it toward you.
