It may damage the built-inmemory or cause a malfunction in the unit.j Turn off the power (remove the battery)j Insert and remove the USB cablej Expose the unit to vibrations or shock≥ About disposing of or giving away this unit.(l 108)∫ Handling of HDD [SDR-H100]This unit is equipped with the built-in 80 GBHDD. While the HDD is capable of storing alarge amount of data, there are a few thingsto look out for. When using this component, pay attention to the following points.Do not expose the HDD to vibrations andshocks.Due to the environment and handlingconditions, the HDD may be subject topartial damages or may not be able to read, record, and play back data. Do not exposethe unit to vibrations or shock, and do notturn off the power during recording orplayback. If the unit is used in a place with loudsounds, such as a club or venue, therecording may stop due to soundvibrations. Recording data on an SD cardis recommended in these places.Back up data periodically. The HDD is temporary storage. In order toavoid erasing data due to static electricity, electromagnetic waves, breakage, andfailures, back up the data to a PC or DVDdisc. (l 77, 84)If the HDD experiences any abnormality, back up data immediately.Failure in the HDD may produce continuousnoise or choppy sound during recording orplaying back. Continuous use will causefurther deterioration, and may eventuallydisable the HDD. If these phenomena areobserved, copy the data on the HDD to aPC, a DVD disc etc. immediately andcontact your dealer.Once the HDD is out of order, data cannotbe restored.Operation may stop in hot or coldenvironments. The unit is disabled in order to protect theHDD.
