There are discs with this information already stored onthem, called CD-TEXT discs, but this function also works with ordi-nary discs.• The informationon CD-TEXT discs is automaticallyread whenthey beginplaying.The titleof the CD andthe artistnamemust beentered manuallyfor ordinarydiscs.Enterthis informationbeforedoingthe following (=1,page 19).• Song titles cannothe displayedwith ordinarydiscs.Press TEXT MODE.The display is changed in the following order: ,_In the stop modeALBUM (Album title) --, ARTIST (Artist name) --, Total playing timet IIn the play modeSONG --, ALBUM --, ARTIST --* time display(Song title) (Album title) (Artist name)t ISong titles are displayed whenever a track is changed, even if thetime display is chosen.• Up to 32 characters of text information can be displayed while thechanger is stopped. The entire text is displayed during playback,even if it is longer than 32 characters.• Song titles are not displayed after a certain number of tracks ifthere are many tracks on the disc or if titles are exceptionally long.• Text information is attached to the slot. Any information enteredinto memory will be displayed for that slot until another CD-TEXTdisc is played in that slot or the information is entered manually(=I, page 19).• Some CD-TEXT discs do not have information about the artist ortrack. Nothing is displayed if this is the case.• Only one artist name per disc is displayed. It will be the name ofthe main artist on the disc and does not change with each track.
