54Safety InstructionsSplash-Resistant (HANDSET ONLY)KX-TG2550 handset is designed to be splash resistant.You can use the handset with wet hands.CAUTION:• Do not immerse in water or leave under running water.• Keep the handset away from salt water.• Avoid exposure to prolonged high humidity.• Since water in headset jack may cause damage, close the headset jackcover when the optional headset is not in use. When the optional headsetis connected, do not use the handset with wet hands.• If the handset is wet, wipe with a soft dry cloth.• The base unit is not designed to be splash resistant. Do not place the wethandset on the base unit.Shock-Resistant (HANDSET ONLY)Although KX-TG2550 handset is designed to be shock resistant, do notthrow or step on the handset.WARNING:TO PREVENT FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD, DO NOT EXPOSE THE BASEUNIT TO RAIN OR ANY TYPE OF MOISTURE. ONLY THE HANDSET ISSHOCK AND SPLASH RESISTANT.• If there is any trouble, disconnect the unit from the telephone line andconnect a known working phone. If the known working phone operatesproperly, have your unit repaired by one of the specified authorizedPanasonic Factory Servicentres.
