41CAUTIONCAUTIONRAM modules are extremely sensitive to static electricity. There are cases wherestatic electricity generated by the human body has adversely affected such mod-ules. In addition, it is easy to damage the RAM modules or internal components ofthe computer. Therefore, when installing or removing a RAM module, handle themodule with extreme care.Installing/Removing RAM ModuleDo not touch the terminals or internal components, insert objectsother than the module, or allow foreign particles to enter. Doing sohas been known to cause damage, fire or electric shock.RAM Module1 Power off your computer ( “Starting Up/Shutting Down”)Do not shut down using the standby or hibernation function.3 Installing the RAM moduleSlide in the module at an angle.Snap the module into place by pushing down on it.2 Remove the battery pack ( page 34)4 Put the battery pack back into place and attach the cover( page 34)Removing the RAM moduleOpen the left and right hooks.Gently remove the RAM module from the slot.Use a RAM module meeting the RAM module specifications below.
