Installing the power supplyunit (VL-MVN511 modelsonly)About the installation locationR The device must be installed inside an electricalpanel or cabinet.R A readily accessible disconnect device shall beincorporated external to the equipment.– External disconnect device must be certifiedand have a creepage and clearance distanceof 3 mm or more.Precautions for wiringR Make sure you turn off the power at the breakerbefore performing any wiring work.R Always connect AC or DC cables to theappropriate connection terminals. Incorrectlyconnecting the AC or DC cables may damagethe power supply unit.R To prevent the power cables from disconnectingand to prevent electric shock, secure the powercables using the cable binders (accessory) andattach the cable covers.How to connect the power cable (AC/DC):Connect the power supply unit (accessory) andAC/DC cables (locally procured).CBCAA 45 mm B 25 mm C 7 mmFront viewDEH IGF*1*1IF AC cable H DC cable*1 Do not connect the AC cable and DC cableinversely. That would be a cause ofmalfunctions.Make sure that there are no bare wiresexposed outside the product.Power supply unit (with cable coversremoved)Top view Bottom viewLMJ KL AC cable binder holeM DC cable binder hole1 Strip the AC/DC cables as follows:AC cable (A, C), DC cable (B, C)2 Remove the screws (D) and then remove thecable covers (E).3 Connect the AC cable (F) to the AC INterminal (J)/DC cable (H) to the DC OUTterminal (K) on the top and bottom of thepower supply unit, and then secure the wiresby tightening the screws (G).R Recommended torque:– AC terminal: 0.5 N·m {5.1 kgf·cm}– DC terminal: 0.45 N·m {4.6 kgf·cm}CAUTIONInsert the cables firmly all the way into theterminals. If the cables are not inserted allthe way, heat may be generated.4 Use the cable binders (I) (accessory) tosecure the AC/DC cables (F) (H)(double-coated area) to the power supply unit.5 Make sure to replace the cable covers (E).Attach to the DIN railAttach in the order described below so that hook(A) is positioned at the bottom.1 Hang hook (B) on the DIN rail (C).2 Pull and hold the lever down (D).3 Secure hook (A) to the DIN rail (E).BCEDA11
