10Precautions for installationThe following points as well as the contents of"Warning" and "Caution" shall be observed.Panasonic assumes no responsibility for injuries orproperty damage resulting from failures arising outof improper installation or operation inconsistentwith this documentation.Installation work shall be performed in accordance withthe technology standard of the electric installation.Installation Location• Install the camera on a concrete ceiling or wall at alocation that is sufficiently strong to support it.• For wall mounting, use the optionally available (WV-Q122) Wall Mount Bracket.• Bolts for mounting the ceiling mount AttachmentPipe to a ceiling or wall are not provided. You needto purchase them separately in accordance with thematerials and strength of the place you areinstalling the camera.This camera is designed for use in a hanging configurationonly.Install the camera in a horizontal configuration, withthe dome pointed downwards.For wall mounting, use the optionally available (WV-Q122)Wall Mount Bracket. Use the Screws recorded in the tableas below. If thisproduct is unavoidably mounted on such a section,the section shall be sufficiently reinforced.Avoid installing this product in the following locations.• Locations where a chemical agent is used such asa swimming pool.• Locations subject to steam and oil smoke such as akitchen, Locations near flammable gas or vapor.• Locations where radiation or x-ray emissions areproduced.• Locations where corrosive gas is produced,Locations where it may be damaged by briny airsuch as seashores.• Locations where the temperature is not within–50 °C to +50 °C.• Locations subject to vibrations (This product is notdesigned for on-vehicle use.)• Locations subject to condensation as the result ofsevere changes in temperature (In case of installingthe product in such locations, the dome cover maybecome foggy or condensation may be caused onthe cover.)Avoid moist or dusty places to install this product.Otherwise, lifetime of the internal parts may beshortened.Avoid installing this product in a place with a highlevel of noise.Installation near an air conditioner, an air cleaner, avending machine, or the like causes noise.Remove the cover film from the dome section of thedome cover after the installation is complete.Be sure to remove this product if it is not in use.Keep this product cable away from the lighting cable.Conduct the power distribution work to keep a distanceof 1 m or more from the 220 V - 240 V power line. Orconduct the electric conduit work separately.Failure to observe this may cause noise.Radio interferenceWhen this product is used near TV/radio antenna,strong electric field or magnetic field (near a motor or atransformer), images may be distorted and noise soundmay be produced. In such a case, run the cameracable through specialized steel conduit tubes.Note:• Select a place that is strong enough for theinstallation. If you install the camera on a ceiling orwall, except for accidents caused by fault in thec a m e r a , P a n a s o n i c h o l d s a b s o l u t e l y n oresponsibility for accidents caused by the camerafalling due to unsuitable installation. Take sufficientcare when installing the camera. If the installationis not strong enough, be sure to sufficientlyreinforce the location and check that it is safe.• To prevent the camera from falling, attach thesafety wire to the mounting bracket or the anchorbolt before starting to install the camera to preventit from falling.• Always request installation work from a qualifiedservice person or system installer. Lack of technicalknowledge creates the risk of fire, electric shock,personal injury, and material damage.
