13In order to prevent injury, the productmust be securely mounted to a wall orceiling according to Installation Guide.Power supplyThis product has no power switch.When performing electrical work, make sure thecamera can be turned on and off. When anEthernet cable or power cable is connected, thepower is turned on. When cleaning the product,remove the Ethernet cable or disconnect thepower cable from the main power supply.Installation area for this productSelect an appropriate place for the installationarea (such as a strong wall or ceiling) in yourparticular environment.• Make sure that the installation area isstrong enough to hold this product, suchas a concrete ceiling.• Install the camera in the foundation area ofthe architecture or where sufficient strengthis assured.• Do not mount the product on a plasterboard or a wooden section because theyare too weak. If the product is unavoidablymounted on such a section, the sectionshall be sufficiently reinforced.Install the product in areas that do notreceive direct sunlight.• When the product is installed outside inareas that receive direct sunlight, such ason external walls, use the optional"Sun Shade WV-Q7118".Do not place this product in the followingplaces:• Locations where a chemical agent is usedsuch as a swimming pool• Locations subject to moisture or oil smokesuch as a kitchen• Locations that have a specific environmentthat is subject to an inflammable atmo-sphere or solvents• Locations where a radiation, an X-ray, astrong radio wave or a strong magneticfield is generated• Locations near coasts directly subjected tosea breezes, or locations subject to corro-sive gases such as from hot springs, vol-canic regions, etc.• Locations where the temperature is notwithin the specified range (☞ page 26)• Locations subject to vibrations, such as onvehicles, marine vessels, or above productlines (This product is not designed for on-vehicle use.)• Locations subject to condensation as theresult of severe changes in temperature (Incase of installing the product in such loca-tions, the dome cover may become foggyor condensation may be caused on thecover.)Sulfurization caused by rubber productsDo not place the product near rubber products(packing, rubber feet, etc.) that contain sulfur.There is a risk that sulfur components in rubberproducts may cause electrical parts and termi-nals, etc. to become sulfurized and corrode.Screw tightening• The screws and bolts must be tightenedwith an appropriate tightening torqueaccording to the material and strength ofthe installation area.• Do not use an impact driver. Use of animpact driver may damage the screws orcause tightening excessively.• When a screw is tightened, make thescrew at a right angle to the surface.
