This information is normally pre-populated inthe phone by your service provider.Press the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, and then select 8.Settings.Common SettingsSelect [Menu], select 2.Messaging, select 8.Settings, select 1.CommonSettings, and press the [OK] key.To set up common message settings, use the following functions:• Default Edit Mode: Set in Alphabet mode (Multi-tab mode) orPredictive mode (T9 mode).• Save Messages: If set as On, the sent message will be stored in the[Sent].• Auto Delete Read Message: If setting is on and the inbox is full,handset deletes the oldest read message and saves the new messagewhen it receives a new message.Text MessagePress the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, select 8.Settings, select2.Text Message, and press the [OK] key.To set up default Text Message information, use the followingfunctions:• Message Center: Store or change the number of your message centerthat is required when sending a message.• E-mail Gateway: Store or change the number of your e-mail gatewayrequired when sending an e-mail.• Save to: Set the text message storage to SIM or phone. This optionmight not be available depending on your SIM card.Multimedia MessagePress the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, select 8.Settings, select3. Multimedia Message, and press the [OK] key.To set up default Multimedia Message information, use the followingfunctions:• Message Center: Store or change the address of your messagecenter that is required when sending a message.• WAP Profiles: Set up WAP profile settings for multimedia message.• Delivery Reports: When this option is set to [On], the network informsyou whether or not your message has been delivered successfully.• Read Report: When this option is set to [On], the recipient’s phonesends a reply to let you know when your message has been read.• Message Lifetime: Set the duration of time your message is stored atthe message center while attempting to deliver it. You can select one of1 Hour, 2 Hours, 6 Hours, 1 Day, 2 Days,1 Week, 4 Weeks, 6 Months, or Maximum.Voice MailPress the [Menu] Soft key, select 2.Messaging, select 8.Settings, select4.Voice Mail, and press the [OK] key.This number is normally pre-populated by your carrier during the activation
