If you requiremore help, refer to Chapter 6, “Contacting PATTON for assistance”. Refer to table 3 for a list of commonsymptoms and suggested remedies.Note The following information assumes that there is only one failureinvolving the Model 3092 and that if you perform the correctiveaction listed, it will solve the problem. If you are unable to correct afailure, refer to Chapter 6, “Contacting PATTON for assistance”.Table 3. SymptomsProblem Corrective ActionPOWER LED is extinguished Verify that power is being supplied to the Model 3092.POWER LED is flashing Either one of the external power sources or one of the3092's power supplies has failed. The Model 3092 willfunction normally indefinitely with one power supply. Toverify the suspected problem, contact Patton Technical Sup-port to determine whether the DACS needs to be replaced ornot.CPU FAIL LED is lit CPU is unable to load the software from FLASH to RAM foroperation. As soon as possible, unplug both power cablesfrom the Model 3092, wait 30 seconds, then plug the cablesback into the Mode 3092 to see if the problem disappears.If the CPU FAIL LED remains lit after the Model 3092 com-pletes the power-up cycle, contact Patton Technical Supportto determine whether the DACS needs to be replaced or not.ALARM LED is lit Indicates that an alarm condition has been detected.SYSTEM LED is not flashing The Model 3092 is not functioning properly. As soon as pos-sible, unplug both power cables from the Model 3092, wait30 seconds, then plug the cables back into the Mode 3092to see if the problem disappears. If the SYSTEM LED remainslit after the Model 3092 completes the power-up cycle, con-tact Patton Technical Support to determine whether theDACS needs to be replaced or not.ETHERNET green LED is extinguished • A valid link has not been detected. Verify that the cable isplugged into the hub, switch, or workstation and theModel 3092.• Verify that the hub, switch, or workstation is poweredon.• Verify that the correct cable is being used. Depending onwhether you are connecting to a workstation (PC), hub,or switch, either a straight-through or cross-over cable.• Replace the cable. If the problem still exists, contact Pat-ton Technical Support to determine whether the DACSneeds to be replaced or not.
