5How to Use the On Screen Display (OSD)VVololumeumeSmart HelpAfter Volume Window has disappeared, to continue to the MainMenu, press the larger OSD (On Screen Display) button between theBRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST buttons. Next, follow steps 2 - 3 under MUTE.If you do not press the VOLUME button a second time, the Volumewindow will “time out” (disappear) after five seconds. You canchange this time. See page 8 for time out options.MuteMuteTo completely turn off the volume (but still return to theformer level), follow the steps below. The mute control turnsoff the sound from the two front-mounted speakers or the earphonesjack.Note: audio is muted from monitor speakers when earphonesare connected. See pages 2 and 16 for details.Smart HelpTo go to DEGAUSS . . .. . . instead of pressing the ON SCREEN DISPLAY (OSD) button a third time,turn the ROTARY knob until DEGAUSS is highlighted. Next, press the OSDbutton. Turn to the next page and follow steps 2 - 3.. . . once you have exited the OSD, press the OSD button and turn theRotary knob until DEGAUSS is highlighted.
