Fill the water reservoirwith water and put itback on the machine.Make sure the milkcontainer unit is in place. Make sure a pod holder,without pod(s), is in themachine.Press the button. Press andsimultaneously. The water in the water reservoir is flushed through themachine and the boiler is filled with water. This processstops automatically, do not interrupt it!If the appliance does not work, repeat steps 1 to 6. Do not interrupt the process!Brewing black coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato or caffè latteIf you want to make a coffee variety with milk, fill the milk container.Fill the water reservoirwith water. Press the button. Place the pod holder andone pod (for black coffee andcoffee varieties with milk).Or place the podholder and two pods (forblack coffee only).To brew black coffee, go straight to step 9.Quick start guideLift the lever and removethe milk container unitfrom the machine.Remove the milkcontainer lid. Fill the milk containerwith cold milk (5-8°C)to the correct level.Reattach the lid, place themilk container unit in themachine and press downthe lever.Select the desired coffeevariety. For black coffee only:choose a strong , normalor mild cup of coffee.Place 1 or 2 cups underthe spout and pressor (for black coffeeonly) to brew coffee.Tip: Pre-heat your cupswith hot water to keepthe coffee hot longer.caffè lattelatte macchiatocappuccinoblack coffeeCleaning the milk container unitA Flushing after every use with the CLEAN buttonLift the lever and removethe milk container unit fromthe machine.For a reliable performance of the milk container unit and consistently good frothing results, it is veryimportant that you follow each of the 2 cleaning procedures below:A Flush the milk container unit with the CLEAN button immediately after use when you do not intendto froth milk again straightaway.B Clean all parts of the milk container unit thoroughly after the last use of the day.Rinse the milk containerunder the tap and fill itwith cold water.Reinsert the milk containerand place an empty cup onthe cup tray.Press the CLEAN button.B Cleaning all parts after last use of the dayOpen the milk containerlid cover.Remove the milkcontainer lid. Pull out the steam inlet. Pull off the milk tube.Clean the milk container,milk container lid and milktube in the dishwasher(recommended) or in hotwater with some washing-upliquid. Rinse the parts withfresh water after cleaning.Push back the steam inlet,connect the milk tubefirmly onto the connectorof the milk container lid andclose the milk containerlid cover.Reattach the lid, place themilk container unit in themachine and press downthe lever.UK
