Please use a safety factor of1.25 for the following:• Calculating the voltage measurement values (Voc) ofcomponents• Calculating the current measurement values (I SC) ofconductors• Sizing of control systems connected to the outlets ofthe solar modulesÄ Please follow the valid national guidelines for theinstallation of electrical systems.Series ConnectionConnection of modules in series is only permitted up tothe maximum system voltage as listed in the applicabledata sheet of all the relevant modules to be installed.Ä Take into account all possible operating situations and allrelevant technical norms and regulations when designingthe system. It has to be ensured that the maximumsystem voltage, including all necessary safety margins,is not exceeded.Ä Take the voltage limit of the inverter into account whendetermining the maximum number of modules in thestring.Parallel ConnectionModules may be damaged by the occurrence of reversecurrents (caused by module defects, ground leaks, ordefective insulation).Ä Ensure that the maximum reverse current load capacityindicated in the data sheet is met.In order to limit reverse currents that may occur, werecommend using the following safety options:1) Layout with a limited number of parallel connectedstrings :Without undertaking further current blocking measures,a maximum of two module strings may be operated inparallel on an inverter or MPP tracker.2) Layout with string fuses :place fuses for each string of modules at the plus andminus ends. Observe the maximum permitted numberof strings as indicated in the specifications provided bythe respective string fuse manufacturer and the technicalguidelines.NOTE!When installing different product versions, the lowestminimum permitted reverse current load capacity applies.InvertersInverters with or without transformers may be used.2.4 Electrical layout2 PLANNING
