These technologies have almost similar but slightlydifferent requirements.To synchronize with a computer via infrared1. Follow the instructions in ActiveSync Help on the computer for setting up yourcomputer to receive infrared beams.2. Line up the infrared (IR) ports of your device and your computer so that they areunobstructed and within close range.3. On your device, tap Start > Programs > ActiveSync.4. Tap Menu > Connect via IR.5. Tap Sync.To synchronize with a computer via Bluetooth1. Follow the instructions in ActiveSync Help on the computer for configuring Bluetooth onyour computer to support ActiveSync.2. On your device, tap Start > Programs > ActiveSync.3. Tap Menu > Connect via Bluetooth. Make sure the Bluetooth function of both yourdevice and the computer are turned on, and they are within close range.4. If this is the first time you have connected to this computer via Bluetooth, you mustfirst complete the Bluetooth wizard on your device and set up a Bluetooth partnershipbetween your device and the computer.
