54INACTIVITY AND LAYING UP The following chapter describes the pre-cautions to be taken in the event of along period of inactivity of your QOODER,aiming to keep it in good working order,as well as ensuring it retains its originalappearance.SCOOTER INACTIVITY AND LAYING UPIf the scooter will not be used for a long pe-riod of time, we recommend you proceedwith any required maintenance and observethe following precautions:• check the fluid levels and replacethem if necessary;• check the coolant system is full of50% antifreeze solution;• engage the parking brake;• completely fill the tank with fuel mixedwith a quantity of stabiliser, as specifiedby the manufacturer of the stabiliser;• remove the battery (see the “Emergency”chapter);• inflate the tyres to the pressure listedin the “Technical Data” chapter;• clean the scooter (see paragraphon “Cleaning” in the “Maintenance”chapter);• park the scooter on a solid, stable sur-face, in doors where it is not exposedto direct sunlight or damp;• cover the scooter with a transparentsheet.If it is necessary to protectthe mechanical parts with specialsubstances (e.g. antirust products)contact an authorised Quadro Vehiclesdealership.Before riding the scooter again after it hasbeen laid up, do the following:• check the tyre pressure and, if nec-essary, restore the pressure to thelevel indicated in the “Technical Data”chapter;• if it is flat, recharge the battery, then fit itback on the scooter (see “Emergency”chapter);• check the fluid levels and replacethem if necessary;• in the event of not using the scooterfor more than 4 months, replace theengine oil;• carry out an approximate check ofthe scooter's functions, especially thesafety systems and lights.If, after a period of inactivity,you encounter faults in the function-ing of the scooter, contact an au-thorised Quadro Vehicles dealership.
