Initial (cold) start-up and all Burn SettingsThe blower can be plugged in and turned on rightaway. The blower fan is turned on and off by a snapdisc. When your appliance has reached a certaintemperature the blower will turn on and when yourappliance has cooled down to a certain temperatureit will turn off. Switch on blower control must be set toauto for this feature to work.2. The blower is equipped with a speed control. Adjustthe fan speed by turning the speed control clockwise to“Low” or counterclockwise to “High” (Figure 15.2).3. Snap Disc LocationIf you find the blower coming on and off at undesirabletemperatures, relocate the snap disc to anotherlocation in the designated zone on the back of theappliance (Figure 15.1). Opacity (Smoke)This is the measure of how cleanly your appliance is burning.Opacity is measured in percent; 100% opacity is whenan object is totally obscured by the smoke column from achimney, and 0% opacity means that no smoke column canbe seen. As you become familiar with your appliance, youshould periodically check the opacity.
