9 48008002-0617. All electrical wiring must comply with BS7671 and local by-laws, all components where applicable should be provided withall the necessary safety protection and isolating devices.18. Connect pipe work to the unit refer to fig. 9 for connection detail.19. Once the units are fitted in position prior to commissioning they must still be protected from damage.CONNECTION OF DUCTWORK TO QUARTZ DUCTED FANCOILSNote: The provided ducts are there as a means of connecting the ductwork to the fan coil. Following the below steps will ensuretrouble free installation. All ductwork must be in line with the spigots on the unit before securing in position. The ductsmust slide over the spigot connections without having to use excessive force.Note: Having to force the duct work to line up with the spigots may cause damage to the spigots and dislodge them from therefixings.Typical installationshowing ductworkconnected to unitThe ducts should be pushed fully over the spigot up to the outer casing of the unit and secured to the spigot with screws, once fitted they should be then sealed around the end of the duct and the outer casing of the fan coil.IMPORTANT.The spigots on the unit are there for the sole purpose of providing a connection for the ductwork to the unit. They are notdesigned to support the weight of the ductwork and all duct work should be installed square to the spigots this willeliminate the need for excessive force to make the connection. Duct work should be installed in accordance with CIBSEHVCA DW144 : Specification for sheet metal duct work.Fig. 8All units must be installed in accordance with good engineering standards.T Bar Grid False Ceilingwith 10 mm Thick Fibre BoardRoofReturn Air Grille or DiffuserMust not be positioned directlybelow the unit intakesFresh Air Supply DuctCeiling VoidFan Coil UnitInternal RoomAccoustically Lined DiffuserPlenumMinimum 1 Metre Length OfAcoustic Flexible Ducting
