FUTERA III INSTALLATION AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS34Troubleshooting A StartupActionCheckIdentify SourceSymptomAn Interlock is tripped.Proceed to HeatNetControl Manual formore details andproblem resolution.1. 1. Is it a 24 VAC Interlock?2. Is it a 120 VAC Interlock/Alarm?3. Internal Alarms1. All 24 VAC Interlocks arelocated on J11A and J11B.Examples of 24 VAC Interlocks:1.SPARE32. Variable Frequency Drive(VFD)3. Low Water Cutoff(LWCO),4. Gas Pressure5. Spare 46. Operator OPLIM7. Water Flow8. Air Pressure from UV Sensor.2. All 120 VAC interlocks/Alarmsare located on J5. These include:1.FLAME SAFE ALARM (IgnitionCTRL ALARM)2. Valve Alarm (IRI ALARM)3. XS_FACTORY (Reserved4. HIGH LIMIT1. OPEN SENSOR2. SHORTED SENSOR3. COMBUSTION AIR DAMPER1.Use a multimeter and checkfor 24 VAC on J11A,J11B toidentify which interlock hastripped. Reset the Interlock orcheck for disconnected wiringor shorts. The Air Pressure from UVSensor interlock if displayedwill allow the boiler tofunction, but it needs to befunctional while the boiler isrunning for it to clear.1. Use a multimeter on J5 toto check for 120 VAC onthese interlocks (except theHIGH LIMIT). The High LimitInterlock is displayed whenthere is no 120 VAC, sincethe HIGH LIMIT breaks the120VAC to the IgnitionControl.NOTE: Stray VoltagesGreater than 8 VAC and lessthan 18 VAC on theseinterlocks can causeintermittant operation. If thisis the case, check for backfed voltages from field wiring.Check sensor voltages atJ10A and J10B. TheTemperature sensor inputsshould be between 0 VDCand 5 VDC measured acrossthe sensor. Example: At 77 F,the voltage would read 2.5VDC.The combustion air damperprove switch must be wiredacross SPARE 1 and must bea "DRY" contact. Do notapply a voltage to this input, the input supplies it's ownvoltage/current.2.
