Getting Assistance8 0Off-Air GuidesIf you are certain your antenna is properly set up and receiving a strongsignal, but you are receiving invalid program guide information or arehaving trouble tuning to a channel, you can disable your system’s abilityto acquire off-air TV program guides. If you subscribe to DIRECTV®programming, you will still receive DIRECTV® programming guides if youdo not receive TV program guides.To disable the TV program guide:1. Select Assistance from the main menu.2. Select Off-Air Guides from the Assistance menu.Select Off-Air Guides from the Assistance menu.3. Use the arrows on the remote to highlight Do Not Acquire Off-AirGuides and press OK to select it. Then exit from the menu.4. You should now rebuild the channel list by selecting System Optionsfrom the main menu and selecting Channel Search.UpgradesYour HDTV is able to receive upgrades or modifications to some of itsfeatures and functions. These modifications will occur automatically,usually at times when your TV would likely be turned off. If your TV is onwhen an upgrade or modification is sent, you may experience adisruption in reception for a minute or two. Your reception should returnto normal after the modification is complete. Please consult theUpgrades Menu to find a schedule of upgrades or modifications plannedby DIRECTV.
