Connections & SetupChapter 1 17PHONES Allows you to connect headphones tolisten to the sound coming from the TV. To adjustvolume control of the headphones, press the VOL+or VOL- button (the volume display appears). Pressthe arrow up or down button (the headphonevolume display appears), then press the right or leftarrow button to adjust the headphone volume.VIDEO (in) Receives video from anothercomponent, such as a camcorder, video gameconsole, or VCR.L/MONO and R AUDIO Receives audio fromanother component, such as a camcorder, videogame console, or VCR.S-VIDEO (in) Allows you to connect an S-Videocable from another component. Make sure you alsoconnect audio cables from the component to the TV.Notes: When you plug in headphones, the TV’sinternal speakers are muted. Use the VOL upor down button to control the volume. Whenconnecting a component that uses a monauralcable, such as some camcorders, use the L/MONOinput jack to get sound from both speakers.The Front of Your TVFront Input JacksThe TV has front input jacks for convenience in connecting a camcorder, digital camera, or videogame system. Look for a hinged door and press to open the cover.
