10Basic Settings11Basic SettingsAlert ReminderIf Alert Reminder is on and an alert is received, the radio beepsevery 30 seconds. Your can stop the reminder by pressing any keyor wait until the weather alert expires.If Signal Reminder is on and a signal loss is detected, theradio beeps at intervals of 30 seconds, 1 minute, 1.5 minutes, 2minutes, and so on up to 5 minutes. The beep continues every 5minutes until the signal is recovered. You can stop the reminderby pressing any key.If you selected ALT REMINDER, you must complete thefollowing steps:1. Press c or d to choose ON or OFFand press SELECT to confirm. SIGREMINDER appears.2. Press c or d to choose ON or OFFand press SELECT to confirm. 0Administrativ appears.3. Press c or d to display a list ofalerts ( = on, =off).You can turn alert tones on or offfor each alert type. For example, you can turn off the alerttone for a coastal flood warning if you do not live near thecoast.4. For each alert, press SELECT to choose it then press c or dto select ON or OFF.5. Press SELECT to confirm your setting and go to the nextalert.Set Alert Mode and Volume1. Access the settings and scroll to ALERT MODE.2. Press SELECT. TONE appears.3. Use c or d to select TONE or VOICE.TONE – The weather radio sounds analert for 5 minutes or until the alertends .VOICE – The weather radio sounds an alertfor 10 seconds, followed by the weatheralert broadcast voice for 5 minutes.4. Press SELECT. ALERT VOL appears.5. Use c or d to set the volume level, 1-10.6. Press SELECT.Set Alert Type1. Access the settings and scroll toALERT TYPE.2. Press SELECT. SEL ALERT appears.3.
