Also known as “mean error”.Precision is the scatter of individual measurementsaround the mean of a large number of replicate measure-ments of the same volume. Also known as “standarddeviation”.Each Pipetman is factory calibrated and carefully checkedgravimetrically before shipment using distilled water andan analytical balance. Water temperature and ambientconditions are stabilized at 21.5°C ± 1°C. Volumetric cor-rections are made for both the density of water and evap-oration where applicable.
