Check appliance is safe when you have finished.Servicing NotesWhen servicing or replacing gas carrying componentsdisconnect from gas before commencing operation andcheck appliance is gas sound after completion. Whenchecking for gas leaks use a liquid leak detector at all jointsand connections to check for leaks in the system.When checking for gas leaks do not use washing up liquid- this can corrode. Use a product specifically manufacturedfor leak detection. In GB refer to BS 6891.After completing the gas connection, check the cooker isgas sound with a pressure test.Leak testing of the appliance shall be conducted inaccordance to the manufacturer’s instructions.CAUTION: DO NOT USE A FLAME TO CHECK FORGAS LEAKS.Do not use re-conditioned or unauthorised gas controls.Disconnect from electricity supply before commencingservicing, particularly before removing any of the following:control panel, side panels, cooktop tray, or any of theelectrical components or cover boxes. Before electricalreconnection check that the appliance is electrically safe.1. To Remove the Hand RailRemove the handrail plastic blanking plugs and remove the2 end bracket fixing screws.2. To Remove Control PanelDisconnect from electricity supply.Pull off all the control knobs. Remove the hand rail (see 2)Remove the 2 cross headed screws that were hidden by thehand rail end brackets.Open the grill door and right hand oven door and removethe 2 screws underneath the control panel.Pull the control panel forward and support so that the wiresare not strained.Reassemble in reverse order. When replacing leads refer tothe wiring diagram. Check operation of timer, ignition, andoven light switches.3. To Remove the Hotplate topDisconnect from electricity supply.Remove the pan supports, cooktop burner caps and tops.If there are screws holding the cooktop burners to thecooktop, remove them (not the spark electrode fixingscrews).A - Cooktop front fixing screws,B - Cooktop rear fixing screws (on cooker back)Remove the 2 rear cooktop fixing screws (B) on cooker backunder the flue grille and the 4 front cooktop fixing screws(A).Remove the screws holding the flue grille stays.Lift the cooktop clear of the appliance. Replace in reverseorder.Reassemble in reverse order ensuring that the leads arereconnected.Check for correct burner operation.4. To Remove a Side PanelDisconnect from electricity supply.Remove control panel (see 2). Pull the cooker forward.Remove the 4 retaining screws for each panel (2 at the frontand 2 at the rear). The lower front retaining screws (oneeach side) are situated beneath the lower edge at the frontcorners of the side panelsReassemble in reverse order.5. To Remove Oven Light SwitchRemove control panel (see 2).NB The old switch may be destroyed during removal.Remove switch button and old switch from its bezel bygripping the switch body behind the control panel andtwisting sharply.The switch bezel can then be removed by folding back itslocking wings and pushing forward. Fit the new bezel to thecontrol panel by first lining up the raised key on its bodywith the cutout in the control panel and pushing it in fromthe front. Assemble the new switch to the bezel by lining upthe key sections and pushing home. Fit the new button bypushing in from the front.Replace control panel in reverse order and test for correctoperation.6. To Remove Electronic TimerDisconnect from electricity supply.Pull off the timer control buttons and remove the controlpanel (See 2). Remove the timer/mounting bracketassembly from the control panel by removing the two fixingscrews. Remove the timer from its mounting bracket bydepressing the plastic lugs on the timer case, at the sametime pulling the unit forward.Reassemble in reverse order. When replacing leads refer tothe wiring diagram. Check operation of timer.
