To Remove the Fan Oven ElementDisconnect from electricity supply.Remove the oven inner back (see 20). Remove the two screwsfrom the top of the element and the one from the bottom ofthe element inside the oven (Fig.8-12).Lift the element out carefully, disconnecting the terminalsconnected to the element (noting their positions).If it is not possible to disconnect the leads in this way, pull thecooker forward to gain access to the rear.Remove the screws securing the electric cover to the backsheet, remove the cover and disconnect the terminals fromthe rear.22. To Replace an Oven FanDisconnect from electricity supply.Pull the cooker forward to gain access to the rear. Removethe screws securing the electric cover to the back sheet andremove the cover.Disconnect the three terminals connected to the fan notingtheir position. Remove the oven inner back (see 20). Hold thefan blade and remove the centre nut (left-hand thread) twobrass washers, fan blade and circlip. Unscrew the fan retainingnuts and washers (three off each) and lift the fan away fromthe rear of the cooker. Fit the new fan and reassemble inreverse order. Check the operation of the oven.23. To Remove the Left-hand Oven Bottom and TopElementsDisconnect from the electricity supply.Bottom ElementPull the cooker forward to access the cover boxes at the rearof the unit. Remove the fixings that secure the cover and lift itclear.Remove the two screws ‘A’ and allow the plate to drop down(Fig.8-13). Remove the two screws ‘B’ holding the element tothe bottom sheet (Fig.8-14). Undo the terminal connections,noting their positions. Withdraw the element.Replace the element and re-assemble parts in reverse order.Top ElementOpen the left-hand oven door and undo the fixings thatsecure the heat shield. Remove the top element bracketfixings and withdraw the element.Replace the element and re-assemble parts in reverse order.Check that the oven operates satisfactorily.24. To Change Oven Light BulbDisconnect from electricity supply.Make sure the oven is cool. Open the oven door and removethe oven shelves. Remove the grill pan and support from thegrill chamber.Unscrew the bulb cover by turning anticlockwise. It may bevery stiff (Fig.8-15). Taking care to protect your fingers in casethe bulb should shatter, unscrew the old bulb.Fit an Edison screw fitting 15W 240V lamp, FOR OVENS.
