Besides invalidating claims thiswastes fuel and may overheat thecontrol knobs.Installation and MaintenanceThe electrical installation should be inaccordance with BS 7671, or with therelevant national and local regulations.Have the installer show you the location ofthe oven control switch and mark it for easyreference.It is recommended that this appliance isserviced annually. Only a qualified serviceengineer should service the oven, and onlyapproved spare parts should be used.Make sure that the oven is wired in andswitched on.Always allow the oven to cool and then switchit off at the mains before cleaning or carryingout any maintenance work, unless otherwisespecified in this guide.Electrical SafetyThe electrical installation must be installed inaccordance with all relevant British Standards/Codes of Practice, BS 7671. Or with the relevantnational and local regulations and with thelocal gas and electricity supply companies’requirements.Otherwise, all installations must be inaccordance with the relevant instructions inthis booklet.Read the instructions before installing or usingthis appliance.• The rating plate is located on the right sideof the door.• This appliance is heavy so take care whenmoving it.• The appliance may be installed in akitchen/kitchen diner but NOT in a roomcontaining a bath or shower.• This appliance MUST be earthed.• The appliance MUST NOT be connected toan ordinary domestic power point.• Set the clock to make sure that theappliance is functional – see the relevantsection in this manual.• The appliance must be installed inaccordance with the regulations in forceand only in a well ventilated space.• Failure to install the appliance correctlycould invalidate any warranty or liabilityclaims and lead to prosecution.• DO NOT manouvre the appliance while it isplugged into the electricity supply.• Before electrical reconnection, check thatthe appliance is electrically safe.n The appliance should be powered downbefore replacing the lamp to avoid thepossibility of electric shock.
