Donot disconnect or bypass any switch.WARNING7.3 OPERATOR PRESENCE AND SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM1. The operator presence & safety interlock system prevents the engine from starting unless the parkingbrake is engaged, the mowing device is off and the operator is in the seat. The system also stopsthe engine if the operator leaves the seat with the mowing device engaged or the park brake notapplied or the emergency brake valve lever is operated.2. Perform each of the following tests to ensure the operator presence & safety interlock system isfunctioning properly. Stop the test and have the system inspected and repaired if any of the tests failas listed below:• The engine does start in test 1;• The engine does not start during tests 2,3;• The engine continues to run during test 4.3. Refer to the chart below for each test and follow the check tick marks across the chart. Shut engineoff between each test.Test1: Represents normal starting procedure. The operator is seated, parking brake isengaged, the operators feet are off the pedals and the mower engagement device is off.
