CHAPTER13Manual No. 016-0159-925 Rev. F 79Chapt er 13 Ratio Rate FeatureIn Ratio Rate mode, the SCS console offers the ability to control up to four products in ratio to the first. TheRatio Rate feature is enabled through the console submenu within the Data Menu.When the Ratio Rate mode is enabled, product 1 will control to a user defined volume/area when in Automatic(AUTO) mode, or display the Rate as volume/minute when in Manual (MAN) mode. Products 2 through 5 willbe controlled in ratio to product 1.When in Ratio Rate mode, pressing RATE CAL will display the RATIO RATE CAL and will be entered asfollows:• Product 1 gal/acre [liter/hectare] (if applicable)• Products 2-5 oz/gal [dl/liter]The ratio rate feature can also be utilized to operate a handgun (see Figure 1 on page 79).FIGURE 1. Handgun InstallationNote that for handgun operation, a flow switch must be plumbed in-line as shown above. Connect one lead ofthe flow switch to the boom box orange/white wire. Connect the other flow switch lead to an unused boom wire.The associated boom must have a non-zero value programmed into the boom cal.
