Safety Precautions6 n NOTES ON CARE AND MAINTENANCE OFYOUR HEDGE-TRIMMER• In order to maintain your hedge-trimmer inproper working order, perform themaintenance and checking operationsdescribed in this manual at regularintervals. In the event that any parts mustbe replaced or any maintenance or repairwork not described in this manual must beperformed, please contact a representativefrom the store nearest RedMax authorizedservicing dealer for assistance.• Under no circumstances should you evertake apart the hedge-trimmer or alter it inany way. Doing so might result in thehedge-trimmer becoming damaged duringoperation or the hedge-trimmer becomingunable to operate properly.• Always be sure to turn off the engine beforeperforming any maintenance or checkingprocedures.• When sharpening, removing, or reattachingthe blades, be sure to wear thick, sturdygloves and use only proper tools andequipment to prevent injury.• When replacing blades or any other partsor when replacing the oil or any lubricants,always be sure to use only RedMaxproducts or products which have beencertified by RedMax for use with theRedMax hedge-trimmer.• Do not use any accessory or attachmentother than those bearing the RedMax markand recommended for the unit.
