12Replacing the BladeService Interval: YearlyWarning: The blade is sharp; contacting theblade can result in serious personal injury. Toreplace or sharpen the blade it is stronglyrecommended to have an Authorized ServiceDealer perform this task.Examine the blade whenever you run out ofgasoline. If the blade is damaged or cracked, haveit replaced immediately by an Authorized ServiceDealer. If the blade edge is dull or nicked, have itsharpened or replaced by Authorized Service Dealer.Preparing the Machine forStorageWARNING: Gasoline vapors can explode.•Do not store gasoline more than 30 days.•Do not store the machine in an enclosure near anopen flame.Allow the engine to cool before storing it1. On the last refueling of the year, add fuel stabilizerto the fuel as directed by the engine manufacturer.2. Run the machine until the engine stops fromrunning out of fuel.3. Prime the engine and start it again.4. Allow the engine to run until it stops. When youcan no longer start the engine, it is sufficiently dry5. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug.6. Remove the spark plug, add 1 oz. (30 ml) of oilthrough the spark plug hole, and pull the starterrope slowly several times to distribute oilthroughout the cylinder to prevent cylindercorrosion during the off-season.7. Install the spark plug and tighten it with a torquewrench to 15 ft-lb (20 N-m).8. Tighten all nuts, bolts, and screws.
