The machine is not connected to theelectric network.Connect the machine to the electricnetwork.The power button is on position "0". Check that the power button is set to "I".The drip tray gets filled althoughno water is drained.Sometimes water is drained automati-cally by the machine into the drip trayto manage the rinsing of the circuitsand ensure optimum machine perfor-mance.This is seen as normal machinebehavior.The red icon is always dis-played on the machine.The coffee grounds drawer has beenemptied with the machine off.The coffee grounds drawer must alwaysbe emptied with the machine on. Waituntil the icon is displayed beforerefi tting the drawer.Coffee is not hot enough. The cups are cold. Preheat the cups with hot water.No hot water or steam is dis-pensed.The hole of the hot water / steam wandis clogged.Clean the hole of the steam wand usinga pin.Make sure that the machine is off andcold before performing this operation.Coffee does not have enoughcrema(see note).The blend is unsuitable, coffee is notfreshly roasted or the grind is toocoarse.Change coffee blend or adjust the grindas explained in chapter “Adjusting theCeramic Coffee Grinder”.The machine takes a long time towarm up or the amount of waterdispensed from the wand is toolittle.The machine circuit is clogged bylimescale.Descale the machine.The brew group cannot beremoved.The brew group is out of place. Turn on the machine. Close the servicedoor. The brew group automaticallyreturns to the initial position.The coffee grounds drawer is inserted. Remove the coffee grounds drawerbefore removing the brew group.There is a lot of ground coffeeunder the brew group.Coffee is not suitable for automaticmachines.It may be necessary to change the type ofcoffee or the coffee grinder settings.The machine grinds the coffeebeans but no coffee comes out.(see note).There is no water. Fill the water tank and prime the circuit(chapter "Using the Machine for the FirstTime").The brew group is dirty. Clean the brew group ("Weekly Cleaningof the Brew Group" chapter).This might occur when the machine isautomatically adjusting the dose.Brew a few coffees as described in chap-ter “Saeco Adapting System”.The circuit is not primed. Prime the circuit (chapter “Using themachine for the first time”).The dispensing spout is dirty. Clean the dispensing spout.
