• 30 •Machine Installation - Service Provider Manual8.12 "INTENZA+" Water FilterWater is a key element for a good espresso coffee. It should there-fore always be fi ltered in a professional manner. That is why allSaeco machines can be equipped with the INTENZA+ fi lter. Thisfi lter is easy to use and its sophisticated technology is effectivein preventing limescale build-up. This way, water will always beperfect and will give a much more intense aroma to your espressocoffee.The "INTENZA+" water fi lter can be installed onlyif the machine is NOT connected to the water net-work.The descaling fi lter should be replaced wheneverindicated by the machine. Before descaling, re-move the anti-scale fi lter from the water tank.Measuring water hardness is very important inorder to correctly manage the "INTENZA+" waterfi lter and the frequency with which the machine must bedescaled.1 Remove the "INTENZA+" water fi lter from its packaging. Thefi lter should be set according to the measurements performed toset water hardness.Use the water hardness test strip provided with the machine.
