Limeand phosphate are common formsof scale that can damage your TeaMaker™. Lime scale, a harmlessmineral, comes in the appearance ofwhite-coloured or rusty looking buildup on the inner walls and inner baseof the glass jug. Phosphate scale can’tbe seen, however, it can cause thewater to appear cloudy when heated.To prevent scale from damaging yourTea Maker™, ensure to de-scale theglass jug regularly. Use a commercialde-scaling agent and follow theinstructions that come with the agent.Ensure the Tea Maker™ is turned OFF bypressing the TEA|Cancel button (whenbrewing tea) or the HOT WATER|Cancelbutton (when heating water) on the powerbase.
