Equipment and accessories18When external equipment is connectedto the radio, the right side of the displaywill show a headset.Impact on radio operationThe external equipment can have a built-in PTT, speaker andmicrophone. Thus connecting it to the radio will have the followingimpact on the radio operation:• If a microphone is built into the detected external equipment, theexternal equipment microphone is used, and the internal radiomicrophone is disabled.• If a speaker or earpiece is built into the detected external equipment,the external equipment sound device is used, and the internal radiospeaker is disabled.• If a PTT or VOX is built into the detected external equipment, theexternal equipment PTT control is used, and the radio PTT button isdisabled.Accessorie connectorPin 1.
