installing your air conditioner _19ENGLISH2. Wind insulating tape around the pipes and drain hoseavoiding to compress the insulation too much.3. Finish wrapping insulating tape around the rest of thepipes leading to the outdoor unit.4. The pipes and electrical cables connecting the indoor unitwith the outdoor unit must be fixed to the wall withsuitable ducts.CAUTIONMust fit tightly againstbody without any gap.Insulation cover pipeIndoor unitBe sure to overlapthe insulationInsulation pipeAll refrigerant connection must be accessible, in orderto permit either unit maintenance or removing itcompletely.CAUTION5. Select the insulation of the refrigerant pipe. Insulate the gas side and liquid side pipe referring to thethickness according to the pipe size. The thickness according to the pipe size is a standard ofthe indoor temperature of 27°C and humidity of 80%.If installing in an unfavorable conditions, use thicker one. Insulator’s heat-resistance temperature should be morethan 120°C.Pipe size(mm)Minimum thicknessof insulation (mm) RemarksPE foam EPDMfoamØ6.35~Ø15.88 13 10 If you install the pipeunderground, at the seaside,a spa or on the lake, use 1 gradethicker one according to thepipe size.- 25 19 Install the insulation not to get wider and use theadhesives on the connection part of it to preventmoisture from entering. Wind the refrigerant pipe with insulation tapeif it is exposed to outside sunlight. Install the refrigerant pipe respecting that theinsulation does not get thinner on the bent part orhanger of pipe. Add the additional insulation if the insulationplate gets thinner.CAUTIONAdditional insulationRefrigerant pipe insulationa×3aHangerDrain pipe and Drain Hose Installation1. Install the drain hose as short as possible.Give a 3mm slant to the drain hose for properdrainage of condensate.Secure the drain hose with the cable-tie not tobe separated from the unit. The drain pump connection port is used whenusing a drain pump.Note2. Insulate the drain hose and then fix it as a picture.Assemble flexible hose with clamps betweenindoor unit and drain pipe.Flexible hose clamps should be assembledtightly to prevent being loosen. If it is loosen,it may cause water drops.NoteAVXDSAVXDU1. Unscrew the 4 tapped screws to remove the cover of thedrain hose connection port.2. Insert the flexible hose to the drain hose port.Fix the flexible hose to the indoor unit with thesupplied cable clamp securely. (Use the screwdriver tofix the flexible hose securely.)Note3. Install the drain hose so that its length can be as short aspossible. Internal diameter of the drain hose should be thesame or slightly bigger than the external diameter of thedrain hose port.
