Solving Common ProblemsE-18Before contacting the after-sales service, perform the following simple checks.They may save you the time and expense of an unnecessary service call.The air conditioner does notoperate at all◆ Check that the circuit breaker used for the air conditioner has notbeen triggered.◆ Check that the power cable is plugged into a wall socket and thesocket is switched on, if necessary.◆ Check that temperature is displayed in the cool mode and F1,F2,F3 isdisplayed in the fan mode on the control panel; if necessary pressthe (On/Off) button on the remote control or unit.Problem Explanation/SolutionThe air conditioner does notoperate with the remote control◆ Check that there are no obstacles between you and the unit.◆ Replace the remote control batteries if necessary.◆ Check that you are close enough to the unit (seven metres/yardsor less).No beep is heard when you pressthe (On/Off) button on the remotecontrol◆ Check that you are pointing the remote control at the remotecontrol sensor on the unit.◆ Replace the remote control batteries if necessary.The air conditioner does not cool ◆ Check that the correct operating mode has been selected COOL.◆ The room temperature may be too low.◆ Dust may be blocking the air filter; refer to page 17 forcleaning instructions.◆ Check that there is no obstacle blocking the air flow into or out ofthe unit.◆ Check that the direction of blades; refer to page 10~11.The air flow blades does not operatewhen you press the button.◆ Check that the air conditioner has been switched on; if necessary,press the (On/Off) button on the remote control or unit.The timer is not correctly triggered ◆ Check that the timer has been programmed correctly;refer to page 12~14.Odours are permeated in theroom during air conditioning◆ Air the room.
