Paper is jammed inside the Fuser.2. Paper is caught in the Exit Sensor Actuator.3. Paper is caught in the Exit Roller and Fuser, after passing through the Feed Sensor actuatorMPF PathCheck and Cause Solution1. The Exit Sensor is defective if Jam2 occurs after the paper iscompletely fed out of the printer.This can happen if the actuatorsticks open or is slow to close.2. Paper is rolled into the Fuser.• “Accordion” folding occursrepeatedly.• Fuser temperature is too highdue to failure or other abnormalconditions.• If the Heat Roller or PressureRoller is conteminated hardbecause of Toner.3. If there are “Accordion” paper foldsinside the Fuser.4. If the Exit Sensor is defective. aJam In Exit Area will occur andprinting will stop.1. Check if the Exit Sensor Actuator isbroken or damaged.• Check if the Exit Sensor Actuatoris deformed (Check that the senorarms are not deformed).• Check for Burrs or rough edges inthe Exit Actuator assembly, andcheck that the sensor arms arefree to move.• Check for foreign objectsobstructing the Exit actuator.2. Replace the Fuser.3. • Replace the Exit Guide.• Check that the Exit unit is assem-bled properly and full functioningand replace if necessary.4. Replace the Exit Sensor.
