English - 4Channel - Memorizing the ChannelsYour TV can memorize and store all of the available channelsfor both “off-air” (antenna) and cable channels. After theavailable channels are memorized, use the CH and CHbuttons to scan through the channels.This eliminates the need to change channels by entering thechannel digits. There are three steps for memorizing channels:“Air/Cable”, “Auto Program” and “Add/Delete”. Air/CableBefore your TV can beginmemorizing the availablechannels, you must specifythe type of signal sourcethat is connected to the TV(i.e., an antenna or a cablesystem).Select “Air” or “Cable” by pressing the ◄ or ► button. Auto ProgramAll available channels areautomatically stored inmemory when channels areselected by the direct tuningfunction.Press the ENTER buttonat any time to interrupt thememorization process. Add/DeleteYou can add or deletea channel to display thechannels you want only. Touse the “Add/Delete” function,first run Auto Program.Select “Deleted” or “Added”by pressing the ENTERbutton.Channel - Fine TuneThe Fine Tuning function letsyou manually adjust the TV’stuner if you have difficulty tuningchannels.Adjust the fine tuning by pressingthe ◄ or ► button.To store the fine tuning settingin the TV’s memory, press theENTER button.To reset the fine tuning to “0”, select ”Reset” by pressing the▲ or ▼ button, then press the ENTER button.Setup - Time ClockSetting the clock isnecessary in order to use thevarious timer features of theTV. Also, you can check thetime while watching the TV.(Just press the INFO button.) On Timer / Off TimerYou can set the On/Off timers so that the TV will switch onor off automatically at the time you select.➢ You must set the clock first.☛ Auto Power OffWhen you set the timer “On”, the TV will eventually turnoff, if no controls are operated for 3 hours after the TV wasturned on by timer. This function is only available in timer“On” mode and prevents overheating or leakages, whichmay occur if a TV is on for too long.Sleep TimerYou can select a time period ofbetween 30 and 180 minutesafter which the TV automaticallyswitches to standby mode.Press the SLEEP button on theremote control repeatedly until theappropriate time interval appears(any of the preset values from “30Min.” to “180 Min.”).Setup - Caption (depending on the model)Your TV decodes and displaysthe closed captions that arebroadcast with certain TV shows.These captions are usuallysubtitles for the hearing impairedor foreign-language translations.All VCRs record the closedcaption signal from TV programs,so home-recorded video tapesalso provide closed captions. Most pre-recorded commercialvideo tapes provide closed captions as well. Check for theclosed caption symbol in your TV schedule and on the tape’spackaging: C C .
