80Text MessagesShort Message Service (SMS) allows you to sendand receive short text messages to and from otherGSM mobile phones. In addition, your phonesupports the Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS),which enables you to include photos, melodies, andanimated images in your messages. To use thisfeature, you must subscribe to your serviceprovider’s message service.The Text Message icon ( ) appears when you havereceived new text messages. If the memory is full,an error message displays and you will be unable toreceive any new messages. Use the Delete optionin each message box to delete unwanted messages.Note: In Idle mode, you can quickly access the TextMessage menu by pressing the Left soft key.Inbox (Menu 1.1)This message box is used to store any messagesthat you have received.When you enter this menu, the list of messages inthe box displays with the senders’ phone numbersor names, if available in your Phone Book.1. Select a message from the list and press theSelect soft key to read the message contents.2. To scroll through the contents, press the Up orDown key.3. To scroll to the previous or next message, pressthe or key.
