From home, tap Apps > Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.2. Tap On/Off to turn Wi-Fi on. Wi-Fi must be on to configure settings.3. Swipe to the bottom of the right side of the screen and tap Add Wi-Fi network to connect to anew Wi-Fi network. For more information about using Wi-Fi, see Wi-Fi.4. Tap More options for these options: Scan: Search for available Wi-Fi networks. Wi-Fi Direct: Connect to other Wi-Fi Direct devices. For more information, see Wi-Fi Direct. Advanced:• Network notification: Send a notification when an open Wi-Fi network is available.• Hotspot 2.0: Automatically connect to Wi-Fi access points that support Hotspot 2.0.• Sort by: Choose a sorting order for Wi-Fi networks on the Wi-Fi screen.• Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: Specify when to switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data for datacommunications, when the tablet goes to sleep (when the backlight goes out). Thissetting can affect data usage, since the data connection will remain active even when thetablet screen is off.• Smart network switch: Automatically switch between Wi-Fi networks and mobilenetworks to maintain a stable Internet connection.• Install network certificates: Install certificates stored on an optional memory card (notincluded).• Wi-Fi timer: Automatically connect or disconnect from a Wi-Fi network, using the Startingtime and Ending times you set.• MAC address: View your tablet’s MAC address, needed for connecting to some securednetworks (not configurable).• IP address: View your tablet’s IP address (not configurable). WPS push button: Set up a connection to a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) router or otherequipment. WPS PIN entry: View the PIN used by your tablet to set up a PIN-secured connection to aWi-Fi router or other equipment. (Not configurable.)
