Applications 91Section 9: ApplicationsThis section contains a description of each application that isavailable in the Applications Menu, its function, and how tonavigate through that particular application. If the application isalready described in another section of this user manual, then across reference to that particular section is provided.Tip: To open applications quickly, add the icons of frequently-used applicationsto one of the Home screens. For details, see “Customizing Your HomeScreen” on page 19Alarm ClockThe Alarm Clock application allows you to set alarms to ring at aspecific times.1. From the Home screen, tap  Alarm Clock .The clock displays showing the current time and anyprevious alarms that have been set.2. Tap the checkbox on an existing alarm to set it, or pressAdd alarm to set a new alarm.3. Tap on the following fields to set or change an alarm:• Time: tap the (+) or (-) to set the time for the alarm to sound.When finished, tap Set.• Ringtone: sets the ringtone that will sound when the alarm isactivated. Tap a ringtone and then tap OK.• Vibrate: choose whether the tablet vibrates when an alarmsounds.• Repeat: use this option to select the days you would like the alarmto sound. Tap to add a checkmark to the selected days. Tap OK.• Label: allows you to enter a name for the alarm. The name willappear on the display when the alarm activates.4. Tap Done to store the alarm details.Turning Off an Alarm To stop an alarm when it rings, drag the Stop icon tothe right.– or –To delay the alarm for the snooze period, drag the Snoozeicon to the left.To change the snooze setting see “Alarm Options” onpage 92.
