Getting Started 6Use the Travel AdapterThe travel adapter includedwith your phone is aconvenient, light-weightcharger that rapidly chargesyour phone from any 120/220VAC outlet.1. Plug the large end of theTravel Adapter into astandard 120 VAC or 220 VAC wall outlet.Important!: For connection to an electrical supply not located in NorthAmerica, you must use an adapter of the proper configuration forthe power outlet. Use of the wrong adapter could damage yourphone and void your warranty.2. Insert the USB Data Cable into the Travel Adapter (seeabove) and into the charger/accessory connector on theupper right side of your phone, as shown here.Important!: You must unplug the adapter before removing the battery fromthe phone during charging to avoid damage.Low battery indicatorThe battery indicator ( ) in the upper-right corner of thedisplay indicates power level. Monitor the battery strength andensure your battery is adequately charged.• Five bars ( ) indicate a full charge.• An empty battery icon ( ) indicates a near empty battery.• A blinking empty battery icon ( ) and a tone sounding indicate youhave two to three minutes before the battery is too low to operate thephone.If you continue to use your phone without charging its battery, thephone will shut down.Activating Your PhoneContact your Wireless Provider and follow their instructions forobtaining service, if necessary.
