Settings133Motions and gesturesActivate the motion recognition feature and change the settings that control motionrecognition on your device.• Air gesture:– Learn about sensor and icon: View information about the gesture sensor and theindicator that appears while using the air gesture feature.– Quick glance: When the screen is turned off, move your hand above the sensor toview notifications, missed calls, new messages, time and date, and more.– Air jump: While viewing emails or webpages, move your hand up or down across thesensor to scroll the page up or down.– Air browse: Move your hand to the left or right across the sensor to browse images,webpages, songs, or memos.– Air move: Tap and hold an icon with one hand, and then move your other hand to theleft or right across the sensor to move the icon to another location.– Air call-accept: When a call comes in, move your hand to the left, and then to the rightacross the sensor to answer the call.• Motion:– Direct call: Set the device to make a voice call by picking up and holding the devicenear your ear while viewing call, message, or contact details.– Smart alert: Set the device to alert you if you have missed calls or new messageswhen you pick up the device.– Zoom: Set the device to zoom in or out while viewing images in Gallery or browsingwebpages, when you tap and hold two points with your fingers and then tilt thedevice back and forth.– Browse an image: Set the device to scroll through an image by moving the device inany direction when the image is zoomed in.– Mute/Pause: Set the device to mute incoming calls, alarms, and music by placing thedevice face down.
