You can also reset yourdevice to its factory defaults.Backup and RestoreEnable backup of your information to Googleservers.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Settings.2. Tap Backup and reset for options:Samsung Account• Back up my data: Enable back up of yourmessages and more through your Samsungaccount.• Restore: Use your Samsung account tobackup your data.Google Account• Backup account: Select a Google Account tobe used as your backup account.• Back up my data: Enable back up ofapplication data, Wi-Fi passwords, and othersettings to Google servers.• Automatic restore: Enable automaticrestoration of settings from Google servers.When enabled, backed-up settings arerestored when you reinstall an application.Factory Data ResetReturn your device to its factory defaults.Warning: This action permanently erases ALL datafrom the device, including Google or other accountsettings, system and application data and settings,downloaded applications, as well as your music,photos, videos, and other files.Caution: If you reset your device to factory settingswith the FRP (Factory Reset Protocol) turned on,you must enter the user name and password for thelast registered Google Account to regain accessto the device. You will not be able to access thedevice without the correct credentials. This GoogleAccount verification prevents unauthorized users fromaccessing or using your device if it has been reset tofactory settings without your permission (for example,if your device is lost or stolen). You should removeyour Google Account before shipping your device toSamsung or any other service provider for service andbefore resetting the device to factory settings.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Settings.2. Tap Backup and reset > Factory data reset.3. Tap RESET DEVICE and follow the prompts toperform the reset. |
