At the prompt, tap Power off.Setting Up Your DeviceWhen you first turn on your device, you are asked to set up a fewthings.1. At the Welcome screen, tap the language field, scrollthrough the list and select the language you want yourdevice to use, such as, English (United States).2. Tap Start once you have made your language selection.3. Read the Use Google’s location service screen informationand enable either or both of the Google location services.Tap Next to continue.4. Read the information on the Sign in with your GoogleAccount screen. This screen allows you to create a newGoogle account or sign in, if you already have a Googleaccount. This device uses your Google account to fullyutilize its’ Android features, including Gmail, Maps,Navigation, Google Talk, and the Android Market.5. Tap Next ➔ Create account or enter the email address andpassword of your existing account.– or –Tap Skip to perform this task later. For more information,refer to “Setting Up Your Gmail Account” on page 78.6. Tap Sign in once you have entered the correct accountinformation.7. Read the Backup and restore screen information andenable a desired option.8. Tap Done. The main Home screen displays.Note: If prompted to maintain the correct date and time on your device, youwill be taken to the Date & time menu where you can tap the Automaticdate and time to always receive the latest information from thenetwork.
