When installing an outside antennasystem, extreme care should be taken to keep fromtouching such power lines or circuits as contact withthem might be fatal.POLARIZATIONThis video product is equipped with a polarizedalternating current line plug (a plug having one bladewider than the other.) This plug will fit into the poweroutlet only one way.This is a safety feature. If you are unableto insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing theplug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact yourelectrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do notdefeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING•If an outside antenna is connected to theantenna terminal, be sure the antenna systemis grounded so as to provide some protectionagainst voltage surges and built-up staticcharges.•In the U.S.A section 810 of the NationalElectrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984,provides information with respect to propergrounding of the mast and supportingstructure, grounding of the lead-in wireto an antenna discharge unit, size of groundingconductors location of antenna discharge unit,connection to grounding electrodes, andrequirements for the grounding electrode.See the figure below.ATTACHMENTSDo not use attachments not recommendedby the video product manufacturer as they maycause hazards.SERVICING•Do not attempt to service this product yourselfas opening or removing covers may exposeyou to dangerous voltage or other hazards.• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.REPLACEMENT PARTSWhen replacement parts are required, be sure theservice technician has used replacement partsspecified by the manufacturer or having the samecharacteristics as the original part.
