If so, it is not applicable to your machine (see "Menu overview" onpage 31).To change the menu options:• Press (fax) > (Menu) > Fax Setup > Receiving on the control panel.Item DescriptionReceive Mode Selects the default fax receiving mode.Ring to Answer Specifies the number of times the machine rings beforeanswering an incoming call.Stamp Rcv NameAutomatically prints the page number, and the dateand time of reception at the bottom of each page of areceived fax.Rcv Start CodeInitiates fax reception from an extension phoneplugged into the EXT socket on the back of themachine. If you pick up the extension phone and hearfax tones, enter the code. It is preset to *9* at thefactory.Auto Reduction Automatically reduces an incoming fax page to fit thesize of the paper loaded in the machine.Discard Size Discards a specific length from the end of the receivedfax.Junk Fax SetupBlocks any unwanted faxes that you stored in thememory as junk fax numbers. This setting may not beavailable depending on your country.DRPD ModeEnables a user to use a single telephone line to answerseveral different telephone numbers. You can set themachine to recognize different ring patterns for eachnumber.
