When recovering the refrigerant, ground the compressor first before removingthe connection pipe. If the refrigerant pipe is not properly connected and the compressor works with the service valve open, thepipe inhales the air and it makes the pressure inside of the refrigerant cycle abnormally high. Pump Down Procedure (When removing the product)- Turn on the air conditioner and select Cool mode to run the compressor for 3 minutes.- Release the valve caps on High and Low pressure side.- Use L wrench to close the valve on the high pressure side.- Approximately 2 minutes after, close the valve on the low pressure side.- Stop operation of the air conditioner.- Disconnect the pipes.1-4 Disposing of the unit Before throwing out the air conditioner, remove the batteries from the remote control. When you dispose of the air conditioner, consult your dealer. If pipes are removed incorrectly, refrigerant may blow out andcause air pollution. When it contacts with your skin, it can cause skin injury. The package of the air conditioner should be recycled or disposed of properly for environmental reasons.
