E-22If the power distribution circuit does not have an earth or the earth does not comply withspecifications, an earthing electrode must be installed. The corresponding accessories arenot supplied with the air conditioner.Select an earthing electrode that complies with the specifications given inthe illustration opposite.1Install a green/yellow insulated earthing wire (Ø1.6 mm, section 2 mm2 or greater): If the earthing wire is too short, connect an extension lead, soldering the connection and wrapping it with insulating tape (do not bury the soldered connection) Secure the earthing wire in position with staples4Dig a hole of the size indicated in the illustration opposite, drive theearthing electrode into position and cover the top of the electrodewith the excavated soil.3Carefully check the installation, by measuring the earthing resistance withan earthing resistance tester. If the resistance is above the requiredlevel(Example:100Ω), drive the earthing electrode deeper into the groundor increase the number of earthing electrodes.5Connect the earthing wire to the earthing screw on the air conditioner.6Determine a suitable location for the earthing electrode: In damp hard soil rather than loose sandy or gravel soil that has a higherearthing resistance Away from underground structures or facilities, such as gas pipes, waterpipes, telephone lines and underground cables At least two meters away from a lightening conductor earthing electrodeand its cable.2The earthing wire for the telephone line cannot be used to earth the air conditioner. If the earthing electrode is installed in an area of heavy traffic, its wiremust be connected securely.Checking Correct EarthingThe outdoor unit must be installed on a rigid and stable base to avoid any increase in the noiselevel and vibration, particularly if the outdoor unit is to be installed close to a neighbour. If it is to be installed in a location exposed to strong winds or at a height, the unit must befixed to an appropriate support (wall or ground).Fixing the Unit in PositionPosition the outdoor unit so that the air flow is directed towards theoutside, as indicated by the arrows on the top of the unit.1Attach the outdoor unit to the appropriate support using anchor bolts.2Certainly fix up its rubber leg in order to prevent its vibrationand noise. If the outdoor unit is exposed to strong winds, install shield plates aroundthe outdoor unit, so that the fan can operate correctly.3CarbonplasticSteelcorePVC-insulated green/yellow wire, 2mm2 x 3.5 mToearthingscrew50 cm30 cmModel X YMH040FXA2BMH18VF1XMH19VF1X543 319MH050FXA2BMH060FXA3BMH070FXA4BMH080FXA4B660 350INSTALLING THE OUTDOOR UNIT‘X’ mm‘Y’ mmRubber legOUTDOOR UNIT INSTALLED ON THE WALL BY RACK- Ensure the wall will be able to suspend the weight of rack and outdoor unit;- Install the rack close to the colum as much as possible;- Install proper grommet in order to reduce noise and residual vibration trans-ferred by outoor unit towards wall.Soft rubber designed to cutoff vibration from rack to wall.(not supplied with product)Designed to cut offresidual vibration fromoutdoor unit to rack.
