6.6 <Maintenance>Caution• Do not touch the green surface, the OPC drum or the front ofeach toner cartridge, with your hands or any other material.Use the handle on each cartridge in order to avoid touchingthis area.• If you leave the top cover open for more than a few minutes,the OPC drum can be exposed to light. This will causedamage to the OPC drum. Close the top cover should theinstallation need to be halted for any reason.NoteIf toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry cloth andwash it in cold water. Hot water sets toner into fabric.7 Insert the cartridge into place.8 Hold the top cover and close it slowly and carefully, until the cover isthe cover is securely latched.NoteIf the top cover is not completely closed, the machine will notoperate.CautionBe careful not to pinch your fingers, since the top cover is veryheavy.Maintenance PartsTo avoid print quality and paper feed problems resulting from worn parts,and to maintain your machine in top working condition the followingcondition, the following items will need to be replaced after the specifiednumber of pages, or when the life span of each item has expired.We highly recommend that this maintenance be performed by anauthorized service provider, dealer or the retailer where you bought themachine.
