The microwaves generated by themagnetron reflected at cavity and aredistributed uniformly as the food rotateson the turntable. The food is thus cookedevenly.2. The microwaves are absorbed by thefood up to a depth of about 1 inch(2.5 cm). Cooking then continues as theheat is dissipated within the food.3. Cooking times vary according to thecontainer used and the properties of thefood:• Quantity and density• Water content• Initial temperature (refrigerated or not)IMPORTANTAs the centre of the food is cooked by heat dissipation, cooking continues even whenyou have taken the food out of the oven. Standing times specified in recipes and inthis booklet must therefore be respected to ensure:• Even cooking of the food right to the centre.• The same temperature throughout the food.MS23K3513AS_TC_DE68-04431B-00_EN.indd 11 2016-02-12 11:20:32
